How I took it - is that the site played on the fact that Tammy Lee made a statement quoted by the Pioneer Press: "[Lee] has said she fears liberals are so eager to send the first black Minnesotan, and first Muslim politician, to Congress that they'll easily overlook Ellison's past indiscretions." She was clearly playing an inappropriate race and religion card in my opinion, and this quote in the Pioneer Press wasn't the first time, either.

I didn't particularly find the parody site all that funny but I don't think it should have been taken down. The legal work that Lee's campaign tried to do to take down the site was bullshit, in my opinion. I hope Stewart doesn't get wrapped up in a stupid technicality on what I consider to be an expression of free speech.

The whole point, is to expose the fact she was in some ways trying to gain votes by playing on some morons' fears about Ellison being black and/or muslim.

Again, this is just to my understanding.

I won't even get into some of the similar quasi-racist remarks Erlandson was making on election night either... that's another story.

I absolutely still support Chris Stewart and actually have more respect for him now especially knowing that he's one of the brains behind the very intelligent local blog, americanhotsausage.com.
