In addition to the arguments presented in this article, there is the simple question of where the Twins would go if they left town. Every metropolitan market the size of the Minneapolis-St. Paul market or larger already has a major league team. So do the next 10 or 15 smaller markets.

So if the Twins can't be profitable enough here to satisfy Pholad without a new stadium, where are they going to find a market where they can get 2 million in attendance and be more profitable than they are here in the Twin Cities?

There probably isn't any place better. Moving the team is an empty threat.
